_Activision is back with Guitar Hero 4: World Tour, the ultimate Guitar Hero game made, yet. Many, many features were added into this game, making Guitar Hero III look sad. Unlike the 3'rd game, more instruments were added. "So Xcat, what are these features that were added into Guitar Hero: World Tour?"
_Drums are included in Guitar Hero: World Tour. As weird as it might seem for that instrument to be in a game entitle, "Guitar Hero", it actually fits well. Rock Band drummer pros even have a hard time with the World Tour drums because of the cymbol features that were added (especially to fit in the orange cymbol). It's disappointing to the game reveiwers that many drums are defected. The reason for this may be because of the amount of time spent to make the game since they added 84 songs. This means they had to put all the notes in sync with all instruments. Youtubers have found a way to fix the drumming pads and cymbols. Activision is also giving out drum kits to everyone who have defected drums (check worldtour.guitarhero.com/us/ ). Note that the harder you hit the pads when creating your own songs, the louder the drum sounds.
_There is not a lot of information for the microphone--or vocals. Obviously, everyone knows you sing in it. There are streaks of lines telling you to sing in a high or low pitched voice. In multiplayer, the vocals' belt is found at the top, whilst in single player, it is on the bottom. However, the mic does not actually know what you are saying, so you can hum in a high or low pitched voice and still complete a song.
_The touch pad, located on the neck of the guitar, supports multiple functions. For one, it is another way for wammying long notes, but they make higher pitched noises. This can also give you more star power on the long star notes. Sliding is another function for the pad. There are actually dark-purple notes that allow you to touch the matching color on the pad and does not require strumming. However, they are slightly harder to see on the Nintendo Wii version, but not by far. You may also strum with the touch censor to look cooler.
_The Mii Freestyle for the Nintendo Wii allows your own Mii to have a theme song. You may also co-operate with a friends. (This paragraph may be updated.)
_Activision now allows everyone to create their own songs in "Music Studio". This is easier than having to hack Guitar Hero to customize music. Making unofficial songs can be recorded live in the "Recording Studios", even with a friend, or in "GHMix" where there are more editing tools, but no co-operating. GHMix may be easier because you can step record--each time you make a note, the belt will move forward. With the control stick, you can tell it to move a certain amount of spaces. You may also upload your music to "GHTunes" where everyone can download them. Once they finish playing your song, a rating screen will appear. Are you getting tired of the songs on Guitar Hero? You can create or download brand new songs!
_The "Rockstar Creation Station" allows you to create your own rocker. However, you have to base them off of an official character. Editing Activision's rockers' hair, eyes, clothes, and more are also included.
_Some of the multiplayer modes on Guitar Hero World Tour are the Guitar, Bass, and Drum Face-off and Pro Face-off. Just as in the other Guitar Hero games, you try to hit more notes to win. Guitar and Bass Battles don't have any new power-ups since the 3'rd game. The drums don't support this mode, however. Online play is also available as it was in Guitar Hero III and Aerosmith. Not much has changed online, except for "Band V Band" and "Band Quicklplay". Guests are also available. Everyone can still be social at night around the world!
_These features show us the great improvements Activision made in Guitar Hero: World Tour. III had only a few, such as Career, Co-op Career, and local and online multiplayer. Surely, World Tour is the number one Guitar Hero game made, yet.
I'm going to vote "5/5" because I really like the drums in Guitar Hero: World Tour.
