This game really makes Halo 3 look sad because it's much more realistic.
In Call of Duty 4, you have a ranking system. Moving up levels is fun. Each time you rank up, you are given a new weapon, perk, or new challenges depending on your new level.
When you first play the game on rank 1, you can't do very much in the game. You will receive two new weapons after you escalate higher; Shotgun on Level 2, and the sniper at level 3. On rank 4, you will be able to create your own custom classes. You will need this in the future as you obtain new weapons and perks.
Challenges give you massive EXP points! Sometimes, you will be given an award. For example, if you have 25 kills with the G3, you obtain the Red Dot Sight, which helps you see better when aiming. If you get 25 headshots, you will receive the Digital Camouflage (Camo).
The Sleight of Hand perk is available at level 20. It allows you to reload beatly fast, which is very useful for slow reloading weapons, such as the Heavy Gunner weapon. Reloading pistols with this is as if you have infinite rounds.
The Desert Eagle is a very powerful pistol. You acquire this at level 43. Regardless to say it's color is silver. However, it is still only effective at close range. It is still a fun weapon to use, especially while sneaking inside buildings without anyone knowing (but once you shoot someone, the others may become alert). You will receive the Golden Desert Eagle at level 55.
Instead of meleeing, you stab or slash people with your knife. This is a lot better than combat in most first person shooter games.
