same i played that my emerald quite a lot, not as much as my silver game. but i found there was alot more you could do in r/s/e than fr/lg. there was the game corner which both had but then r/s/e had the pokecontests and emerald had the frontier then r/lg had a game spot where you needed those adatpers to play then thats it

i liked emerald cause its against both teams and the story makes a little more sense cause in ruby and sapphire the team your against they go to both locations (volcano and underwater lair) and i thought it was like ya your soooo gonna find a water type in the volcano or the fire type under the ocean.

i did like how it was against both in emerald, but i also did kinda like the whole different game different team thing. it was kinda cool, seeing part of one story in one game, and another in the other (even though they were basically the same)

it would have been nice to have the story lines a little different. i mean, sure some things could have been similar, but they are 2 different teams...

yes exactly even if they follow the exact same path just have different story behnd why they are there cause really all they changed was the names groudon/kyogre and team magma/team aqua and thier pokemon other then that every single word matches with the other

i guess there is some point to that though. only having to make one guide, since the games follow the same path, there wouldnt be any extra deviations that they would need to include. it prolly just makes it easier for the creaters

they didnt have to create 2 unique story lines, they just took a base one, and modified it to fit each version, kinda like the same thing all pokemon games do
