but compared to my nonlegendary teams, they were almost always near impossible to beat. especially when its a double battle, and you can only have 4 of your 6 pokemon with you. its bad if you cant cover all your bases

ah. i wasnt sure what "it" was.
i was playing PBR today, and one of the battle modes (at the Sunset Colosseum) is like the battle factory. you and your opponent get to choose 3 (or 4 if its a double battle) pokemon from a pool of 12. you are able to pick the same pokemon as who you are going against, the pokemon you can pick from get stronger. but you dont do the whole switch one out thing, you always repick

thats cool i heard that they give you a basic set of pokemon if you dont transfer from pearl or diamond ( or from heartgold, soulsilver platinum if they are connectable) but i guess you can't do to much with those pokemon as they arent yours is that true?

d/p/pt and hg/ss all work with PBR. and there are rental passes that you can use, which include a pretty basic team. you can unlock more, but they arent very strong, and some are not fully evolved, but you can use them for everything if you wanted

well thats good but i guess some pokemon and items cant be used like alternate forms of giratina and rotom and the item grieous orb

rotoms forms should work, since they are more akin to deoxys way of form changing, which is done by touching a specific metoer in the game. but giratina and shaymin's forms are probably nonexhistant

i donno... it would work but it would probably be a normal rotom sprite with the changed form moves and stats

im not sure, i havent tried it for myself. you only get 4 game slots, and you need to use a different DS game with each one, and since my platinum doesnt have too many really good pokemon (as compared to my diamond) i havent taken the time to link it to its own file
