well 3rd chapter is in it is a little more short than the other 2 chapters but enjoy Chapter 3 As we neared Saffron City I looked outside the windows and only saw very tall buildings that looked humongous and looked like they were actually moving from side to side. I started getting dizzy from looking at all the buildings that were going by real fast. Laura just laughed at me when I sat down and put both of my hands on my head which indicated I was having a headache. Nothing much happened on the ride to Saffron City mostly because we both took a nap most of the way through. As we neared the train station I looked up to see someone smile at Laura and left before I could identify who it was.
“Who was that?”
Laura turned around and looked at me and smiled and asked, “Oh, your headache gone already Luna?”
“No… who was that?”
“Still inquisitive about him, well he was just someone who gave me directions on where to go to get to Vermillion City.”
“Oh…”
“Well the train stopped, let’s be going shall we?”
I just nodded and started following her out of the train. I pondered why she left me outside the pokeball like my old master did. I at first thought she would return me to the pokeball so it would be easier to travel but I noticed as I looked around at other trainers going in every direction that one of their smaller pokemon were either following or riding on their shoulders. Back when I was with my master most people had their pokemon in their pokeballs most of the time with the exception of a few people like my old master.
I was drawn from my thoughts as I bumped into Laura who had stopped suddenly. I looked up in puzzlement only to see that she was apologizing to this guy and begged to be excused from not watching where she was walking but the guy obviously not bright kept yelling at Laura for bumping into him and that she would have to beat him before he would let her go. I guess Laura was trying to back out of a fight and I looked at the guy’s belt to see that he didn’t have a single pokemon. I was even more puzzled by that fact that he didn’t have pokemon. I heard sirens off in the distance and I only assumed that would mean trouble so I decided to sit down and watch the rather amusing argument that was now being carried with gestures and no talk. Almost like two Mr. Mimes bickering at each other with movements. By then the sirens had gotten more audible and the guy realizing who was coming took off running towards some alley where he could easily hide.
“I don’t know who that jerk thinks he is. Humph!”
She turned and glared at me and then just shook her head her just waited for Officer Jenny to come which she eventually did. They talked momentarily before Officer Jenny said she had another call and took off again towards the other side of town.
“What?”
“Nothing let’s move on and get out of here.”
So we moved towards the south end of the gate and walked through it leaving Saffron City behind us as we walked down the road.
“I’ve just realized how noisy Saffron City is…don’t you agree?”
“Yeah… it is really noisy I prefer living in Littleroot Town.”
“I bet you do… I just hope that I can understand you eventually.”
Startled by the sad tone in her voice, I looked up and saw that she had stopped and was looking at me with teary eyes. I only did the only best thing I could think of that I did with my old master when he was acting like this. I dashed and jumped towards Laura to hug her and she hugged me as silent tears came down. Though I hoped that she would eventually stop looking down at herself because there was a way for me to communicate with her but it wasn’t the right time to show it so I just hugged her and showed affection for her problem.
“Sorry but sometimes it’s just hard when we both can’t really talk with each other well.”
Ah… Well that explained a lot of how badly she wanted to hear me for once talk to her and she would understand it. But… that didn’t explain why she wanted to hear me… I just nodded and let the subject drop as it wasn’t necessary to let out that little secret yet.
“Well… I guess we should keep moving before it becomes too dark to travel safely.”
So we continued our journey and came across a wild eevee which was pretty rare and she told me it was time to capture a pokemon. As I got into the ready position I looked over at my opponent to see that it wasn’t afraid of me, in fact it looked extremely agitated and then suddenly lunged in a tackle attack towards me which was rather easy to dodge since it was a pretty straightforward attack. As Laura shouted the commands I dodged and did a thundershock on the eevee which stunned him a little. I was surprised when he got back up and took off in another tackle attack and I just shook my head. Laura had shouted at me to do a slam, and with a slight reluctance I executed the command and brought my tail and whacked the eevee off of its legs and sent it defeated as it landed on its side.
“Good job Luna. Go! Pokeball!”
As I watched the pokeball land and make contact on the eevee I watched fascinated even after it disappeared into the pokeball that it continued to struggle to break free. I counted the times the pokeball rocked and when it had finally stopped I counted about six times. While I smiled at Laura’s joy at finally capturing her first pokemon I felt a little twinge of regret of capturing another pokemon not because of envy, but from the fact there would be a little bit of fighting over some pretty whacked stuff.
“Well that was certainly awesome Luna now I guess we’ll have to camp since it’s getting late.” And with a sigh she started making camp over near the side of the road.
Although I knew it was rather late, I didn’t know that the sun was on the fringes of the sky, barely offering much light left. I guessed that out little problems in Saffron City took a lot more time that I had thought. Well at least I would have someone to talk to soon if I knew Laura, she probably would release him soon and begin the long introductions I knew she was capable of creating. I began walking towards the camp with a grin on my face as I watched her continue in her frenzy set up on the camp.

no is the simple answer Luna assumed that Laura could understand her but just realized that Laura can't understand her and is only guessing at what she is trying to say
