ya i never really did... but none of the newer games really have had that affect on me lately specaily pokemon like d/p/p i think personally was a bit over rated... but heartgold or soul silver will probably be the last game i get for awhile it supposed to be really good... but im selling most of my old ds games that i dont play at all anymore...

they were a bit overrated yes, but i like playing my diamond and platinum. i have acquired a strong dislike of the sinnoh region has a whole (mainly because of the mountain range that sits right in the middle) but i like the new features the games have brought, especially the GTS and wireless trading. that has what's been needed in pokemon games all along. i cannot wait for hg/ss either, and seeing as how gold and silver were my favorite pkmn games, they have some big shoes to fill.
i think these DS zelda games are just to buy time while they make that new one thats going to come out for the wii who knows when. the only info we have on it is just a poster that was shown at E3 or something. the "girl" in the picture, i might add, looks a LOT like the queen of fairies on Mother and Child Island in wind waker

ya but they also spend so much time making add ons that they dont do so great on making what the game is really about its like they were in such a rush just to get the story done just so they can make all the different functions of everything else

thats prolly why some of peoples favorite games (at least those who have been gaming for a while and not any of those n00bish little kids ) are the older ones, because there wasnt the technology to make all those add ons, so the makers focused more on game play rather than what extra they could cram into the game

ya i know they have the tech to make some amazing games they have but honestly most of the games they make are sorta pointless. like that pbr they had the potential to make a great game but then its honestly just a bunch of minigames... sure that was kool but honestly it gets old and repetitive. they are trying to hard personally...

i wont say its a bunch of mini games, its more like they wanted to put new ways of battling in, maybe kind of along the same line as the battle frontier? battling in non-normal situations

ya.. like im not saying its a bad game but there could of been alittle more to it... personally my opinion they were in such a rush just release a pokemon game for the wii... like theres quite a few re-released games for the wii and they are way better than most games there newly making now. nintendo had the best idea for game systems and all the hardware but when it came to the games they just dont have the potential for most game once in a while they make a game that is amazing.
i think if i had to choose between a wii and a ds to keep and get rid of the other, would choose my ds over the wii anyday because the ds i find has the better games and they use its full potential

both systems have their downsides. dont forget that. i dont think its that nintendo lacks the potential, its just that they are now focusing SOOOO MUCH on frickin casual gamers, and games that EVERYONE and their MOTHER can play, that sometimes they could ruin a potentially great game because of that factor. the DS does that to from time to time, but there arent as many nintendo brand games as there are 3rd party games out for the DS, because of the influx of these apparently more important casual gamers than the loyal, more hardcore ones. i mean, have you SEEN some of the games for the DS in your local gamestop (or whatever)? there arent AS many of those garbage games for the Wii (yet) but there are more REAL games for it.. games like No More Heroes, Red Steel (i havent played either, but they serve my point). i think one of the things that has given nintendo a rather bad rep is because of their worship of casual gamers and making/licensing soo many games that "everyone can just pick up and play", while the PS3 and Xbox 360 (blah i dislike the 360 soo much) are focusing more on their loyal packs of the more serious gamers, and are turning out more games to fit their wants. THAT is why hardcore nintendo fans are being made to suffer. partially because of this (to me atleast and probably you too) AWFUL choice to make games "everyone can play" and mainly because of the casual gamer. THEY are ruining nintendo games for us, and nintendo is listening more to them. that's my stand anyway

ya i dont really like the 360 there has been quite a few problems with the hardware... the p23 was a really good system it can do alot of stuff. so can the wii but it seems more limited. then the wii with the best feature the motion in a few games have been used to it full potential but in quite a few it more of an optional thing. yes nintendo is trying to hard to make it casual and everyone games im not sure how many people that are hardcore gamers watch wheel of fortune, jeporady or that 5th grader show there to busy playing halo, call of duty to even know what it is.
i think its good that there bring back some gamecube games with the new wii remote functions becuase they had some great games but i know for a fact that most hardcore gamers dont keep most games after they beat it unless it was a extremely good game. and usaully dont want nothing to do with it after they beat it once.
honestly a casual gamer to me is like someone that owns the system because someone in there family is a hardcore gamer and just likes playing with them once in awhile. or like a person that has it and only uses it when friends and family are over. to me you cant make a game for casual players certian people like different games you cant just make a game for *casual players* and expect them to buy it. just cause someone is defined as a casual gamer doesnt stop them from playing hardcore games once in awhile.

you see, i know a lot of hardcore gamers who keep their games, even after they have beaten them.
and i think these casual gamers that they are aiming for are the ones who have NEVER owned a system before. the ones who might buy the gaming system for those crappy games because they like the show or whatever. i have two younger sisters who arent as serious gamers as me and koneko are. they have had access to all the systems we have had, and have played those hardcore games on nearly every one. now, i dont really count my youngest sister yet because of the fact that she is so much younger than the rest of us, but my other sister, while she might not be good at the games, still plays them on occasion. she has played games like Wind Waker, Ocarina of Time, all the Super Smash Brothers, and really really likes the Paper Mario series. I do believe that her favorite might be Wario Land, and probably those old Mario games for the SNES and NES. while in no way shape or form i would call her a hardcore gamer, but she is in that situation that you called casual gamer. i do not believe she fits into that, but is just a plan old average gamer.

exactly but most of the hard core gamers i know get rid of the game as soon as it beat they usually sell it back to eb games or game stop to money for the next game either that or the just rent it for abit beat it and take it back.
but like nintendo is aiming more to the people that have no interest in video games to get them more involved but in the end noones gonna buy it really and i think the only reason they would have it is because someone in there family is really into videogames. but like they would only play the games that they have occasionly i highly doubt there gonna buy a casual game just because of what it is. its like wasting money on something you know noones gonna use
